Domestic violence is a serious matter. Home should be a place of refuge and peace. Unfortunately, for many, it’s a place where physical harm, sexual assault, or fear of physical harm happens on a regular basis.

Family Support

Who hasn’t heard Maury say, “You ARE the father!?” Children are the most precious and valuable gifts that we have, but they’re also very EXPENSIVE. Parents must bear the responsibility of providing for their financial, emotional, and physical needs. Unfortunately, sometimes when parents divorce or separate, the responsibility of providing for the child(ren) falls solely on the parent that has custody; this isn’t fair. It’s both parents’ obligation to care for all of their child(ren’s) needs.

If you’ve been given the opportunity to STEP UP, don’t take it lightly. Take this as an opportunity to play a very important role in your child’s life. Not only will you be taking responsibility to meet your child’s financial needs, but you may very well be avoiding loss of employment, loss of driving privileges, and possibly imprisonment. The class uses the Family Support workbook by Correctional Counseling, Inc. Register today!
